#25 Jake Stringer (Part 1)

It would be worth a try at being a stoppage specialist.

Could start Stringer at centre bounce, Zaka at HFF then swap zaka onto the ball after the bounce.

Man watch his highlights again.
The guy explodes out of stoppages.

Forward of the centre/Wing he will do the most damage.
As the above said, not tradional full-time mid.
60/40 forward/mid should be the plan.
If he starts killing it…can always change the equation as the season continues.

I’m so pumped to have him.

Will play with a chip on his shoulder too.

I am comfortable to see Jake bursting out of the middle at speed, giving off a “dont argue” fend off, and kicking 60m goals for 20% - 30% of the time.

Walla to Daniher 70 to 80% of the time too.

Available Big Bodied Mids summary
Stringer 192cm 92 kg. 2017 goals 24 from 12 average disposals
(Bontempelli 193cm 92 kg 2017 goals 20 from 23 average disposals )
Myers 191cm 88 kg 2017 goals 3 from 18 average disposals
Langford 191cm 90kg
Heppel 189 82 kg 2017 goals 12 from 26 average disposals.
Begley 188 cm 94 kg
(Josh Kennedy 188 cm 94 kg )

Mutch 187cm 83 kg
Clarke 186cm 85 kg

Stringer and Bontempelli are like body clones. No doubt Bontempelli has the bigger tank. If Stringer can develop the fitness, we may see him develop into a Bont like player, but even if he was half as good as Bontempelli it would be a massive plus for us.

Have you seen our midfield? Or our forward line?

He is back home with his parents atm.

I read somewhere that his parents live at the Docklands also.

I heard the dogs are happy to keep him if they cant get a suitable trade

Interesting scenario with his parents living at the Docklands. Of course they’re a massive support to the kids which makes things easier when he cares for them. Reckon he would benefit more from living in the burbs though. More grounded experience

I think it’s great he living back with his parents since he went off rails given relationship break down and has his gambling / other issues to deal with. And the Dogs shunting him.

He is still just a very young guy at the end of the day

I’m sure once his life stabilizes again and he is settled will move out himself once more.

So, he will never be late for a match at Etihad.

Living in docklands just proves poor decision making all around.

Why’s that?

Did they put a media ban on Bevo ? Don’t recall him doing any media over the trade period.

He was probably off having a Beveridge

That’s a shame. It work so well for them last time.

Yeah, I reckon he’ll play with buckets of chips on both shoulders. Watch out anyone who gets in his way.
