Yeah, he’s been around a few clubs now and will at the very least be a good guy to have around. Has been around successful clubs like Sydney, geelong, hawks. Premiership players are handy to have around to pass on knowledge of what it takes / what flags meant to them. Will drive a bit of ambition in your young group. Kelly and Stokes good gets in that regard too.
As a player he’s a solid / unspectacular mid with no real standout quality (ie he’s not quick but he’s not slow, not lethal by hand or foot but not a liability). A depth player at the Hawks and probably in your bottom 6 over your best 22. Was the sub a lot, always made a handy contribution when he came on accumulating possessions and kicking the odd goal. Handy but no match winner.
The list is being stocked with players with GF experience. Should hold Essendon in good stead this September.
Seeing how we really only have older retirees to choose from, surely the AFL should have let us pick up 15 - 20 of 'em so we can play them week about??
