He’s a good addition for the VFL. He’s a better forward than ruckman, imo. I’m not sure il be confident of him at senior level. Hes terribly soft and lethargic. If he was the best available the rest must be fkg terrible. I’ve seen a LOT of this guy and he’s pretty uninspiring. He dominates the WAFL because all the other ruckman are trash. Wish him all the best, but il be surprised if we get many good senior games out of him

Would they be willing to swap clubs for 100k to sit in the vfl for two years as a stop gap- probably not.
Clarke is the best available accounting for what we were offering.

And it is the same reason why we offered a 1 yr contract to Luey. We needed cover to allow Draper to continue to develop.
