New footage of the J-36 prototype Chinese stealth cruiser plane thing.
Seems to be flying like a dirigible.
That post would set Pauline Hanson off.
Good. On principle alone, l am in favour of anything that upsets Pauline.
She might get a few more followers.

This would be more widespread than tourism. This is a reflection on lowering consumption as uncertainty and rising unemployment take hold. The switch to a less export-oriented economy is certainly causing some pain.
It will be interesting to see how Xi handles this.

Why Invading Australia is Nearly Impossible!
China rebukes Macron comparing Ukraine to Taiwan; Says US ‘should not play with fire’ on Taiwan
The report above and my opinion below are not directly connected.
There are interesting but unverified reports of a power shift in China, with a General taking control of the army whose main objective is maintaining a strong military and he has been openly critical of others talking up invading Taiwan; and a political group taking control of the CCP who prioritise an open economy and global trade.
Xi’s response was supposedly - removing me will cause instability; and the issue of Taiwan can be used to leverage national unity.
These changes, if true, make invasion less likely. The other interesting point to me is that the end goal is national unity, and Taiwan is just a step towards that. The cadres fear a break-up of china far more than they fear life without taiwan.
This explains to some extent why the status quo is more appealing than a messy war. The military is weakened by war and the costs - if Taiwan resists and is supported to prolong that resistance - are enormous.
National unity is an aspiration that the CCP can keep repeating. They don’t need to take Taiwan to maintain their one china propaganda.
