Itās a tongue in cheek look at the seeming but natural unfairness of where the whale and sardine relate to one another on the ladder of human assessment of them. Thatās ALL.

I was unsuccessfully trying to elaborate on the way that humans have this natural ladder of assessment in relation to the animal kingdom. I thought it would be obvious that people prefer kittens to reptiles but I found out the hard way that itās hard to get a metaphorical point across on BB. 
Assuming all other protein-based life forms were somehow intolerable to them, and assuming they were somehow unable to detect intelligence, culture, free will, emotion, language and self-awarenessā¦so weāre talking about very, very stupid aliens that have somehow mastered interstellar travelā¦
Then yes, I guess it could be considered morally excusable.
