So, I honestly never listen to MMM, but I got a music news link to its top 100 Australian acts. Couldn’t help but have a look, now my head is about to explode. I totally knew I shouldn’t have…
- The 12th Man
Come on, it’s pretty funny.
edit: oh wow, it’s a listener based ranking…
Thanks for the distraction.
Everything’s M. A. R. V. E. L. L. O. U. S
Ian Moss at #18 is pretty wild.
But the four together of Models, Richard Clapton, Wiggles, Rose Tattoo…
As soon as I heard that Cold Chisel would be number one I tuned out
Had a home / contents insurance policy renewal come through today. 24% more than last time. Did an online quote with exactly same details and the same company, 24% cheaper than last time.
WTF?
Also there needs to be laws, if you can sign up online, you can cancel online.
Thanks for the reminder!
You say more outlandish things than me at times, but this one is over the top.
Chisel are always number one.
I hate them. Station gets changed as soon as they come on.
Couldn’t pay me enough to go to one of their concerts
Another one of your strange character traits
Running shoes these days.
I just need something basic, with enough tread for running on concrete paths.
Instead, everything has huge pillow foam soles with a 1-2mm read that won’t last.
Dunlop k26… sigh, now that was a runner!
FIL still rocks these. And he’s not a try hard hipster.
Yep, and the flimsy mesh tops designed to fall apart sooner than the tread wears out
Yes, yes, and absolutely yes!!!
That mesh crap is designed exclusively for flat-tracks only. The minute you introduce uphill or downhill inclines your toes rip it apart. After a couple of months of wearing them, I’m walking around like an 80’s Australian fast bowler… a hole in each runner with my big toe just about poking out.
It’s got nothing to do with sizing… it’s happened to every pair of runners I’ve bought over the past few years. The quality has diminished immeasurably during that time…
What I am finding with these mesh top and stretchy light weight sneakers is that my feet expand after an hour or so and they become super tight and really uncomfortable.
Adidas Romes… another beauty!
I went to a proper running shoe fitting place.
got saucony triumph or something like that. Much recommended.
And yes they’ve got a big soft sole, I picked up running again after 8kg/5years, my knees need it.
Replacements will be bought online cos they sell at full RRP, but absolutely worth it for me for the range/fitting advice.
Running shoes do seem to be more specialised than I remember. Ones for off road have different soles than on road, etc etc. if you really want thinner ones they have them too.
I’ve probably got 3-400km ish in them now and the soles are only about half way worn - upper is in great nick. I think the concept is the shoes take the punishment, not your joints…
