What needs changing at this club?

I’m thinking Stringer, Heppell, Parish, Tippa and Smith are definitely on the list next year.

The others I think there is an argument to trade/delist.

One of the more creative excuses that has been used is ‘sacking sheedy when we were in the 8’ which apparently cost us a finals win. Histroy shows that had we have made finals that year, we would have been smashed by 70+ anyway. Culture is rotten.

That’s if Tippa doesn’t choose greener pastures.

I wouldn’t begrudge him that.

Perhaps he’ll follow Hartley…

Want to keep Redman and tippa and maybe Merrett

We knew it would a race against time waiting for the midfield to get to a level whereby they could compete against the good sides, whilst we still had Hooker, Hurley and Bellchambers just passed their peak but still solid contributors.

There is succession planning for all of those players.
Only time will tell if the players can improve to a level we need…
Draper - Belly
Francis - Hurley
Zerk Thatcher - Hooker

Most areas of the ground we are well served by players at or approaching their peak.
The age demographic reads well between 22-27.

To be fair, you @ed me 14 hours after the deed was done!

Ooooh what happened? I missed it

Edit; I just saw. 3019, lol. We might have even won a final by then!

Go to donkongs profile.

Make a snide remark about “arms girl” from the ANZAC Day game 2009.

You’ll be Banned so quick it’ll make your head spin !

She was cool.

This is, frankly, poor succession planning. Draper and Zerk have barely a game of senior footy between them. Talls take seasons of senior footy to hit their straps, those two might start their 2 year journey to peak output, next yr. Draper, having not played much footy at all, might need more time. Meanwhile Hooker and Belly don’t look like they can run out a game anymore. Who are the stop gaps?

We got crunched by three 190cms mids last night. Last time that happened was against WC where Yeo and Redden did what they liked. Our bigger mids are String who pinch hits; Myers, nuff said; and Heppell, crocked… but hopefully comes good next yr. There are massive gaps in this list.

No way. His coaching style is the opposite of our list strengths. We need somebody that compliments speed and attack. That’s not Ross.

*plus i don’t want to watch boring football for the next 5 years.

Are you kidding? Mentally fragile also means not switched on at the start. How many first quarters have we won this year? What happens when we get put under pressure consistently? What happens when we play teams that we SHOULD beat? How long has it been since we put the foot down on a team and buried them?

FFS the dogs were over 100 points up last night and even still at the 20 min mark of the last quarter they were running, harassing and tackling like men possessed, denying us space and time. Forward half tackles too because the players willed themselves (above the shoulders) to contest after contest up and back the ground…
