Whatever the fark round it is non Essington games

Rance took another huge dive, as did Riewoldt. (Although Riewoldt managed to get a free kick from the dumpire and kick a goal so it will fly under the radar. Rance flew but not so much under the radar).

Stoked that Richmond lost

I am not a petty person but I am really stoked that those poo heads lost and I hope they never ever win another flag

We need to go after Wines and try to ruin him, get him to play off half back and kick 15m sideways and stuff like that.

signs of a really bad team when your opponent goes into the next week thinking footy is really easy and getting smashed

Richmond had gotten used to playing against witches hats.

Rance didn’t dive.

I loathe the bullshit that hypes him up as much as anyone but he didn’t dive then.

FKn LoL. This is just really trying really really hard to find another reason to complain about Essendon, rather than watching the actual game or taking in its context. We’re ā– ā– ā– ā– , but Port beating Richmond has nothing to do with us being ā– ā– ā– ā– . And how were Richmond ā€˜smashed!’?Seriously? If anything, you are giving Essendon way too much credit, to think they would effect Richmond’s game in any shape of form. Carry on though.

Edit: sorry if I went overboard, but…

Yep. How awful for them that they’ve won 1 flag.

ā€œBut,but he’s not worth 2x first round picksā€ lol

Would happily give 2 first rnd picks for Wines

Tigers played their GF

I’m sick of good teams belting us to make a statement.

Say wut?

I’d give two first round picks and two second round picks for Ollie Wines

Was a very good game from port last night, had tigers measure for most of it.

It’s exactly what I was hoping from us.

  • opposition kept accountable
  • lesser lights stepping up
  • kicking goals when they had opportunity

On Richmond

  • rance again being shown up for a bloke who chooses to go to ground commentators finding it tough to articulate
  • frick they get to drop the ball A LOT.
  • they have a couple of head duckers and knee bucklers that need to be called out
  • they’ve taken blocking the ruck and opponent going for a mark to a new level, but they were even drawing free kicks from it last night which shows how far down the toilet this game has gone.
  • they have some punchable heads on their list

we can’t use 2 1st round picks though, due to the 2 in four rule.

Anyone else reckon north will win today?

Add that they hold/scrag taller opponents to allow teammates to take the easy mark.

Or instead of whinging about it, the players could learn a lesson.

-Richmond’s biggest home & away match of the year.

  • Richmond players want to get up against their biggest rivals.
  • they hunt the match. Make a statement from start to finish.

While we:

  • get a feel for the conditions early on in the match.
  • suss out the mentality of the opposition early on.
    -cave under big pressure matches
  • more concerned about failure, than we are driven for success
  • overwhelmed by the expectation of beating our biggest rivals.

Didn’t notice that last week? It is unreal.

I’m pretty sure that’s actually only an interpretation, not a rule. But yeah, we’re Essendon, so in practice you’re right.

No doubt, I notice it every week.

I reckon EFC are one of the few clubs that don’t actively throw/drop the ball to advantage. Sure a few players do at times, but hawks and tigers clearly have a team ethos to do it at all times.

It’s what seperates the teams who win flags from the rest. Not playing to the spirit of the game, but to the interpretation.

One Scott will lose
One Scott will win

I don’t know how to feel

Your reminder than this is 5th vs 6th and we’re a mile away.
