I’m now at the point where I would let JD go.
Previously, I drew the line at Merrett/JD, and was willing to let almost everyone over that age go…but now I’d add in JD.
Basically, with his return and watching his poor goal-kicking once again, with the play ons around the body, missed drop punts from 15m, just tells me that he is still the same flawed player. I kind of think he is unprofessional.
Also, if JD goes, with all that free salary cap, I would actually use it to pay out the contracts of Hooker/Zaka…and possibly Ambrose (or trade Hurley). Just clear them all off the list. I don’t care about our 2021-2022 results. Just throw a whole lot of our kids in the deep end over that time (BZT, Francis, McBride, Crauford?, Bryan?, Brand/Eyre, even try Stewart in the backline)…just find our KPD’s for the long term, because that’s not Hooker/Hurley/Ambrose (they’re all too old and injured).

Surely those in charge at the club must have alarm bells ringing very loudly in their ears. If not, then we are in even worse trouble.
We’ve heard all year that Rutten is in charge. Our game plan is non-existent and our skills have regressed and are the worst in the league - we can’t kick or handpass, we can’t stick tackles, we give away too many free kicks, we fumble, we can’t take contested marks and our goal kicking is atrocious.
Anyone who has anything to do with these areas has failed miserably and should be asked to leave.

IMO the way we play has completely changed from how it was at the beginning of the year. I’m hoping Truck can get the guys playing good football again next year. We currently exert very little pressure on the opposition and move the ball forward extremely slowly - contrary to how we played early on.
I don’t understand why they don’t give Cutler games in the remainder of the season to prove his worth. Unless they have already made their mind up.
Just get Darren Bewick and Matthew Lloyd part time.

Which ones? The 5 they were never going to give up or the 9 they didn’t get for papley? Listen to the dodoro podcast again. And yes the future pick was offered but they couldn’t get one for last year.
