I’m interested to understand what the external review findings and recommendations were regarding fitness and conditioning. There wasn’t any detail in the limited feedback we received late last year. All we know is they brought in a consultant to oversee the department to provide feedback. Separately the club previously were curious to what extent The Hangar surface had on injury.
Assumption is chronic, recurring ‘stress’ injuries to tall, skinny young players would be an area of focus right now.
What they find, what they do and what they tell us in relation to what they will do to address it is the interesting next step.
And no, the drafting of young skinny talented talls isn’t a failure of list management or Dodoros fault. There’s too many cases of similar ethology to assume this. This is almost certainly a Club performance program issue.
