Pick in the 20's with limited preseason, not great defensively but was a proven ball winner with clean skills.
That's what you call brilliant drafting.
Picking the strengths, seeing the upside, coaching the weaknesses into strengths.
A complete player.
Can't comment on his efforts before being drafted, but even in his first season he was tackling players better than guys who have been in the system 5 years.
you can't teach what he has IMO, Sorta like Rioli a bit, they just know how to do and be.
but yeah if he learnt how to tackle and the defensive stuff in 6 months, that's one hell of a transformation.
