So asked my mate today what the word was on Stringer and his belief is that Dodoro and Connors have met several times over Stringer and have done so for awhile now. His understanding is that Jake is open to a move to us and we are his preferred destination but the Dogs have a grudge with us and don’t want to deal with us at all. A lot of it hinges on the Kelly deal too as both the Saints and North have decent picks and plenty of coin. Once the Kelly situation is sorted out Stringer will become the main focus.

If they do, then that’s really ordinary on their part considering I would see their recruiters (mainly Jason Mcartney) snooping around our VFL games all the time

We don’t need midfielders. We need GUN midfielders.

We don’t need to keep stocking up on 65kg 18 year old’s with a 4th round pick, who can run through the midfield when they’ve beefed up in 3 years time. That’s not going to fix our midfield issue in the next 2 years.

I have no issue with bringing in depth players, Until we have some quality picks to replace them.
