at the GF to ā€œsee what it takesā€ spare me, you people buy this? These guys are there for a good time. And there’s nothing wrong with going to the GF at all! Just dont make out like they are there to study the game. They are there for a good time ffs

No one at the EFC is actually serious about success. scroll up and read the utter garbage mcgrath spruiked early in the season last year. Re watch McGrath’s pathetic efforts v collingwood last year

There is no accountability. They dont give a fk, all we hear are meaningless words.

Mcgrath will be top 4-7 in our b&f this year.

That’s not me commending him, just a general potshot at the quality of what we put up last year.

He also didn’t miss a game which seems to help in the Crichton.
Along with Langford, Perkins, Martin and Redman

Agree.

Zerrett/Lang, Martin, Andy and Redman to round out the top 5.

Is is a leader of our club that’s a given.

He has hit his ceiling and that’s fine as long as he contributes and doesn’t squib I’m ok with that.

Im not sure he has hit his ceiling.
watching those highlights were his was leaner and quicker, maybe he needs to strip weight as not in midfield to help with leap/speed etc.
Kicking is underrrated too.

He played better in his first few seasons. He’s gone backwards and it starting reversing when he ā€œbecame a leaderā€

Yeah I have nothing against what he’s put up bar the odd short step at a contest, he’s a good solid back pocket with some athletic traits, leadership ambitions and can play the lockdown role very well.

I guess for me, a good average 23 games shouldn’t be a top 5 in our b&f.

His tackling numbers are alarming for a small defender, he rushes his kicks when about to be tackled.

I think he has hit his ceiling. He may improve in some areas but not in those.

A average forward pocket shouldn’t end up top 3 either, Snelling/Guelfi

Didnt he keep Cameron goalless?

He’s alright Andy club stuffed him by trying to turn him into mid.

Nor should JHF get 3 votes for a 14 possy game inclusive of 4 clangers and a soccer.

But here we are!

Easier playing a defender than a forward

Our whole defence tackling numbers are tripe, considering the ball spends most the time down there.

Andy plays an ok game, I just believe he has hit a ceiling with small improvement in some areas.

He is also squibs at contests, this I cannot accept from any player

my top 10 would be

1 Merrett - hard to go past him
2 Langford - Runners up, most improved.
3 Redman - unlucky to miss top 3 last year
4 Martin
5 Ridley
6 McGrath
7 Parish
8 Laverde (Imagine Scott would give him Votes like Rutten did)
9 Hobbs
10 Heppell

I hope Hobbs is ahead of Laverde. He had a shocker of a year.
