The sad truth is that we arent flushed with options. I personally would have given Redman the nod but can understand why Mcgrath got it.
Sharp feels someone that could come into the role in 3-4 years. Redman or Durham could fill the void for the next couple of years if they take it off Mcgrath.
Nobody would want McGrath. Our best bet is moving him to Tassie. Club captain and former number one pick. That sounds good enough for a top ten pick I’d accept pick 40
Contracted until 2030, I suspect he is valued inside the club so they won’t put him up, and given last year with Merrett etc I think the odds of him requesting a trade are basically zero.
Zero chance is putting it lightly. Sounds made up.
We just cant have a captain that panic disposes of the ball so often, its so rare to see mcgrath hit up a target, Just blind panic kick or handball 90 percent of the time, we need a leader who is composed, keep a cool head and provide leadership when its at its hottest
Unlike way too many on here, I’m not a McGrath basher, but if the captaincy was given to someone else, I think Nicholas Martin would be a decent choice.
