Pick 25 I my guess

We got Merrett for less, i’d take the punt

Remember watching his draft videos and reading about him. An athletic, agile quick player that found a stack of the ball. What happened to him? He has never really looked that quick from day 1

Classically we and he thought he would develop into an inside mid, so he developed his body to be so.

For me he’s 3-5kgs too heavy.

Please just let him settle in as a back pocket. He can play an important role in our defensive team.

Agreed. But the fact we wasted a #1 pick on a back pocket is a massive indictment on the recruiters.

Started on the bench last night.

Just gotta face the tact they got this one wrong.

I’d be trading Rish and Shiel. Get as many 1st rounders as you can to grow with Hobbs Perkins Cox Mass Reid etc.

Real weird how moving him from midfield to backline has co-included with his worst year.

Almost like he’s a midfielder.

He sucked as a midfielder too.

I was a star half back and the coach shifted me to CHF and I never got another touch

Having an A grade back pocket that can shut down the best small forward, and make the small forward work defensively also, is an awesome asset.

Except he’s not that.

He was starting to become that when he was left there.

I’d just like to see him play a dozen games in a row. He’d be fine if he could do that.

He looked like an A grade mid at times in 2020. Still remember him tearing Hawthorn apart in Danihers comeback game. Never been the same since his ankle injury the week after
