Our only voter getter in the coaches votes with two, that’s 6 out of 8 games he has gotten coaches votes.
Yeah but he doesn’t kick goals and he isn’t damaging, so what would the coaches know?
Idk depends on which coaches, ours don’t seem to have a good track record lately haha
He’s looking - and playing - more and more like Scotty West each week.
That’s a very dual comment.
Just meh with this bloke now
Same goes for Parish
Honestly starting to think we stuffed up both these picks
Maybe Im just too emotional after that loss.
I dunno.
Taranto so much better
Maybe his worst game of the year and still had 18 touches and 8 tackles. Like that he is working both ways but need to get more out of his disposals and that goes for all our stoppage players in general. Shiel also got well held.
10 Kicks. All rushed and ended up with GWS player.
Like I have said for a while, he is just another nice player to go along with all our other nice players.
I think he will have a solid career and turn into a good player.
He is just never going to live up to his number 1 draft pick status because he isn’t that caliber of talent.
That isn’t his fault, it just wasn’t a draft where a Hodge, Judd or Rowell was available for us, just how it goes.
8 tackles shows how hard he works. Can never question his effort or commitment, however he’s being asked to play a role he shouldn’t be. You want him being the first possession outside of the contest, not doing the grunt work. The way we are going with him he will be cooked by age 26-27.
We play our footballers out of position. It is the Essington way.
One of the panic merchant-mids in the side. Thats the reason he doesn’t kick goals.
100%
I really like him but 1 touch in the final quarter is just pathetic and even that was a handball that was intercepted
still the least of our problems.
umps seem to love a free against him as well…
He would really benefit from a Hocking type. He should be lobbying for Dylan Clarke to be given a run, at least then he’ll have some physical support
He was more decisive when he played back.
Ran the lines, broke open the play.
I think there were better genuine footballers available at our number one pick.
The handball turnover in the last on centre wing just killed me. It was the right option but he absolutely telegraphed it and executed it very sloppily.
He’s obviously got parts of his game which are really first rate but I never expect him to make anything happen when he has the ball. Indeed I anticipate the opposite.
Times on his side though. Hopefully he gets some good coaching but god I wish he had a player in the team to role model on.
Yes he’s a mopper-upperer rather than a play maker.
