I was clearly talking about today, not last week, you ■■■■■■■ muppet.
Yeah but you want him dropped so he can go back and learn to tackle like Huss, when he laid 7 tackles the week prior. You muppet.
I get where you are coming from but , he averages less than a goal per game and 2.4 tackles per game. For a small forward taken top 10, who was compared to watson, that is damning.
In saying that , its the fact he isnt at the fall of the ball often enough, that worries me the most
He isn’t playing as a small forward and he was pick 13 not top 10.
He is also a second year player who has just come off back stress fractures.
Isaac ‘fumbles’ Kako. His fumbly hands and not being able to get separation on his opponent are the biggest concerns. Probably the hardest position to play in a ■■■■ team though. But yeah, underwhelming and doesn’t deserve to be put in the ‘caddy and Kako’ conversation when talking about our future talent. Not yet anyway.
Unfortunately for us, both Kako and Nguyen are giving off Leroy Jetta vibes - would rather set up a goal than kick it themselves.
There is abit of LEROY around goal no doubt.
Kako is always going to be more of a creator than he is a finisher. He is small and plays forward but if you’re judging him by his ability to be a goalsneak I think you’re miscasting what he’s good at. He played quite of bit of midfield at Calder his top age year, and that front of stoppage craft is what he excels at.
He’s more Dylan Moore, Gryan Miers, Brent Daniels than he is a Papley, Watson, Higgins etc.
Outside of Goals, doesn’t seem a terrible comparison at the same age even with Essendon being a far worse team.
What’s wrong with you pelicans. Kako’s going to be fine. Finding his feet after missIng half a season. He’s clearly shown he’s capable.
Kako really struggling this year but let’s face it, this forward line is terrible. No structure, ■■■■ delivery and key position players who just don’t compete or bring the ball to ground. He really needs to work on his ground balls and read play better.
Oh look, another promising player has becomed Essington’d. Who could even predict this?
His movement is starting to look repetitively predictable.
Huss looks the more unpredictable of the two
Just doest do the hard running to man up. He has bought in on the Essendon slacker attitude.
Impey shredded us again, so whoever played HF can safely be assigned to mark of ‘■■■■ game’.
At what point are our half forwards going to be accountable for a HBF at any point in a game.
Yes as a HF, you are a forward and they are supposed to be stopping you, but FFS when you lose the clearance and are getting pantsed on momentum, for once can just lock down the most dangerous attacking position on the ■■■■■■■ ground for ten mins a qtr to stem the bleeding.
I feel like Essendon has not really understood or maybe properly valued that HF position for quite some time now
Seriously, if he had good coaches who instructed him to kick goals as his priority instead of trying to set up others he would score much more.
Kako was in great form before he got injured and genuinely exciting to watch. It will come back, but another pre season will definitely benefit him. Hawthorn are one of the hardest working teams and run teams of their legs, none of our players could match it yesterday.
In hindsight probably should of come back via the VFL, should of given Nguyen a run until Kako got some form.
Blitz never rated Monfries highly enough. I’d kill for a HF like him who would shut down the oppositions best rebounder while getting a goal a game.
