#10 Isaac Kako

The NGA rules look like they are reverting back. We should be able to match a bid at any stage of the draft. The highly needed small forward. Hopefully, welcome to Essendon Isaac Kako.

He is the exact kind of small forward we need.

He attacks the front and centre position with want for the crumbs and genuine speed.

Watch him make up ground to get the crumb for that amazing goal against the allies.

I reckon we’d love Kako as the classy goal kicker who can make something out of nothing and then another small forward in the Beau McCreery mould who is just a defensive pressure tackle machine with good leg speed.

Guelfi could kind of maybe move to that sort of role if we got Kako but you’d love him a yard quicker.

Guelfi still hasn’t signed on

I reckon he’s more likely to head back home to WA given how late we are in the season.

Can see us still going for Ainsworth despite the kako news for this reason.

In the space of 2 seasons we could’ve gone from starting small forwards of guelfi, Snelling and an overweight tippa to Gresham, Ainsworth and kako without giving up any picks (besides what we use on kako) and could get something for guelfi.

Not behdddddd

I hope we don’t lose Guelfi

This has got to be a practical joke by the AFL.

It’d obviously be an improvement yes, but I still don’t feel that there is quite the manic defensive intent and leg speed that you’d want out of a trio of small forwards. Gresham isn’t quick or all that incredible defensively and as pointed out today, Ainsworth has only laid 19 tackles for the whole season and nor is he fast by small forward standards.

I reckon one of Gresham and Ainsworth is enough and then Kako your class and then a team first tackling animal who is prepared to sacrifice his game and play a selfless manic defensive role as the third one. I don’t know who that is yet. The Davey’s are probably quick enough but lack the physicality. Might be playing in a state league somewhere right now or or another AFL list. Guelfi, if he stayed would be a solid placeholder at least for the mean time IMO.
