#10 Isaac Kako

I took @Captain_Jack to be discussing someone playing closer to goal. No personal issues with taking Hotton.

I didn’t specify. I just want another small forward who is dangerous around goals and capable of 30+ a season.

l agree that Stengle is outstanding, l disagree that he is gettable.

He has already signed an extension.

oh, boo

Can we get confirmation on how Kako is said? I don’t want to waste my likes on mispronounced puns.

Watson is small and going ok at Hawks- how does Kako compare to him?

2 or 3 inches taller

Very much looking forward to the arrival of our latest messiah so that we can at least be briefly distracted as we wander for forty years in the desert of mediocrity.

He’s no Fejo jr

He better hurry up!!

You need to be patient. Wimm’s prediction of Bewick Jnr Jnr being the messiah is gonna take some time to get to legal age, have a child at 16, then play 100 games to allow jnr jnr to be eligible.

How about just Jnr then……ooops.

CALDER Cannons speedster Isaac Kako has made his way onto the Rookie Me Central Medal top 10 leaderboard after a stunning performance in Round 15. The usual forward collected 25 disposals and kicked three goals playing almost exclusively in midfield to earn a full three votes over the weekend.

It was Kako’s third best on ground performance of the year, according to the RMC voters, and helped Calder defeat Bendigo by 36 points on the road. The Essendon Next-Generation Academy member now sits equal-ninth alongside Pioneers swingman James Barrat, who nabbed two votes in the same game.

How will this continual slide down the ladder impact this potential recruitment (and the details surrounding it) of Kako?

Has looked very impressive this year.

unchange the rule, let him see success.

Theoretically it means we should definitely be able to draft a player before a bid on him, pending AFL rule clarification. This should in theory allow us to take at least 2x first round picks, assuming Kako gets a bid in the 1st round.

We have also banked a handful of picks in the 3rd and 4th round which could allow us to try and get more top picks in before a bid on Kako. The AFL will most likely only change the access restrictions to players in this year’s draft and leave the points system in place until the next draft as clubs like Brisbane and Carlton made list decisions last year assuming, do to lack of clear communication, the changes wouldn’t come into effect this year.
