As one of the earliest to suggest getting him, I’m pretty chuffed how he’s going!
thought he was thoroughly cooked after his achilles injury (like most players), happy to have a small forward that can kinda take over a game in parts

The report does not say he’s the 33rd best player but the 33rd most improved player. A huge difference!

I mentioned him as part of the dream scenario back in August. I could have sworn I discussed it elsewhere as he was a FA. St Kilda fans have always really rated his talent and the crazy injuries he had, always seemed a lot of upside.
I’m surprised he’s considered to have improved a massive amount, given he’s pretty much producing the same numbers he was at the start of last year, and his year-long stats weren’t much different. I mean, he’s a big improvement in the position for us, but I would have thought he’s basically being the player we thought we were getting.

Yeah, the guy has 2 x 30 goal seasons under his belt, so It’s not like him playing well has just come out of nowhere.

No it doesn’t it says he’s gone from being ranked 222 in the afl to being ranked 33rd.
He’s the biggest improver because he’s had the highest jump in rank I think it was mentioned on a show that harry mckay was the next best improver jumping from the late hundreds into the top 50.

Don’t those rankings take an 18 month view or something? So, if his 2022 was poor (and I’m thinking injury hit?) then that may play into it.

Most improved player and statically his is 33rd with the way he is playing
Of course there are better players ahead of him but stats wise is where he currently sits
