Yep, chalk him up as another failed experiment - Saints fans knew how it would end up and were happy to let him go, for good reason.

We know we’re going nowhere with Gresham. We might have some serious NGA small forwards coming through. There’s no point in Gresham having a Shiel season next year.

The guy has some ability; he averaged almost 20 touches and a goal per games with the Saints. Those are good numbers, and he’s played a few good games for us.

But with where we are at now, players like Gresham just aren’t a good fit. He’s poor defensively, he’s inconsistent, and he picks and chooses when to put his head over the ball.

If we could get a decent draft pick you’d take it, otherwise I guess he could be a handy depth player.

Saints small forwards all seem to flourish. Look at Buttler and Higgins.
Perhaps it’s the way they set up compared to us.

Just watched the second half of the game, he played well as a centre square midfielder along with McGrath. That’s confusing :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Well aside from our current injury carnage which recently extended to most of our inside midfielders, Duzz was probably doing his HIA and waiting to come back at that point wasn’t he? McG was in there too because we have literally noone else to go in

Play anyone midfield minutes and they’ll crack 20 possessions the way the game is played

Jade plays for himself, doesn’t recognise his limitations and wouldn’t get a game at any other club. Pay him out for next year and delist
