It’s only his second year but, I don’t see him playing a regular part in the team.
Go to OPSM and get your eyes tested.
You’ve just demonstrated that you’re a poor judge of talent !
I have no idea. Just call it as I see it. I see him like a Langford. If he turns out to be good like Langford after 5 years I’ll be happy. But I don’t see it.
If you’re not sleeping, you’re eating!
Anyone questioning Cox should go watch his game from rd 4 against Sydney. Hes a gun.
I know he’s a unicorn and is a weapon to have on the wing but I’d love to see him up forward more with he’s athleticism and ground ball work he could be deadly up there
That’s huge. Will most likely end up around 102kg if we want to keep his endurance.
I’ve been unashamedly lid-off about Nik since that Sydney game early last year. Convinced he is a special player and can’t wait to go and watch this kid live again, leaping, baulking and chiselling off either foot. Very excited about what he becomes as a player.
I think he is the star factor and match-winner in-waiting that every dynasty needs. Also reckon the understandable diminishing return through the back-end of last season after limited underage football has masked how promising his first season was for a 200cm player. He is a unicorn.
Thanks for sharing.
Big pump up for Cox and Bombers with a lame half a second on Pies and DeGoey injury scare to finish.
Perfect story!
It will take a few seasons to find his best size. Needs enough muscle to compete body on body, but not so much that he loses his speed and agility.
Also to match with his position: will need to stay a bit skinnier if staying on wing, and a bit bulkier if moving forward.
Me too.
One thing that stood out about Cox last year was his willingness to tackle and be physical. That additional size should make him even better at this.
Thing that stood out for me was his strength. Body size means ■■■■ all, some skinny guys are wiry strong and Cox is clearly one of those.
True that - actually it seems some smaller players can be the better tacklers. maybe it’s because knowing they are under sized they put that extra effort into laying their tackles. Whereas some bigger blokes think “i’m big and strong and yeah I’ve got this…and do it half arsed.”
We should play him on the half forward flank this year. That way we can rotate him through the wing too.
And the ruck.
And midfield.
And the HBF.
And fullback.
And CHB.
And FF.
And CHF.
Looks like he’s added 10-12kg just in his cranium
Not sure he should be putting on that much weight that quickly. Someone his size doing what he does could spell trouble with more weight
Theres a team of proffessional fitness staff looking after him. He will be fine.
