As it stands, we need someone else to fill his role while he develops further. He’s simply not impactful whatsoever. Not dissing the kid, just calling a spade for the betterment of the team.

Right now he’s genuinely scared of body contact, and therefore shouldn’t be out there.

Find out from the kid where he is more comfortable …… forward or back …… then play him there for a month in the VFL. Then reassess if we can force feed him some AFL games in that role.
This wing role just doesn’t look like it is for him, especially when you compare to what Martin can do.

Especially when now the wing role is huge.
It was a position to ease players in but suddenly it’s back to that gut running up and down player who can deliver inside 50. They need to be getting 20-25 touches a game.
Right now Cox ain’t it.
Durham, Cutler, Martin all better option. And dare I say this where Dev Smith should be played more also.
Cox need to played a bit more like Will Hayward from Swans and that high half forward hitting up in corridor.

Not many of them are great (name another?) This is just a brainless pile on. Of course he avoids body contact because he half the size of everyone else.

Give him 3-4 years like every other tall and see how he goes. If he is still ■■■■, fine then throw your toys out of the cot.

Not that he played a great game. But interestingly he had 10 possessions for the day while the wingman he was starting against for most centre bounces only had 14. I wonder if KKK fans are calling for Sidebottom to be dropped?

No one is saying that he can’t play the game. Just stop playing him as a wingman.
I agree with Alot on here that have him ply his trade as CHB.

We need to play this bloke as a defender. Third talk type to develop.
He has a long way to go to become a consistent footballer. But hopefully we don’t do a Kepler Bradley with him.

Did a really good job on Sidebottom today, IMO (held him to 14 disp @ 57% DE, 0 goals).

He will be good but he was putrid again today. He needs to learn his position in the VFL.
Cutler offers so much more than him. But the problem is Cutler is 27 and they are looking to get games into a young player and build up the age bracket. But you have to know when to call it quits and drop a player.

The kid has some high end talent but he is so far away from it currently I think it’s doing him a disservice. Needs a spell and a bit of a rethink terribly.
And cutler sucked as a wing and is good as a HBF.
