But what about the spongey floors?
Also we started to have more of these sorts of injuries when we started playing as the home team at Docklands.

Certainly a big issue in the late 90s/early 00s
WBD and North don’t seem to struggle with soft tissue / repetitive stress injuries, but St Kilda and Essendon certainly do. Is that all the home tenants?
Clubs with the MCG as their home ground have won 8 of the last 16 grand finals, it was probably the biggest mistake we’ve made as a club signing up to be the anchor tenant for Docklands
Edit: second biggest
This made me laugh
Carlton I think play most of their home games at Marvel too (or at least they did when Ian Collins was CEO of the stadium). Their injury list has also been fairly ordinary for a while.
He looked like he was just playing sore in these games. He was visibly limping and kicking on his non preferred.
Can’t wait for this guy to get back playing and developing, still think his upside is enormous.
I would be looking at the indoor surface closely and what footwear they wear when using it and limiting its use as much as possible for any high intensity running…so basically use for less intensive skills only sort of drills.
PS I have kids that have trained 4 days a week for athletics that continually injured themselves on running tracks using spikes. As soon as they moved to grass and runners … no problemo
After watching today’s session. This kid is far away from playing for the firsts. He struggled to do 6 laps he was huffing and puffing. Long way to go.
Fitness base will return pretty quickly
Let’s hope so, because when I compared him to Tsatas. Tsatas looked miles ahead of him.
Training surfaces and playing surfaces in WA are generally magnificent, yet the Weagles have loads of injuries. I think it’s a bit of a stretch to find a link between training surfaces and soft-tissue injuries. Have any studies been done?
He’s going to be an absolute star. It’s unfortunate that he’s suffered injury setbacks, but higher training loads (stress) will do that.
BRING HIM IN
this is as silly as saying he’s a complete bust. none of us know mate. he could be great, he could be nothing
He could be great or he could be a good player. His floor is quite high.
what actually happened. was it a marking contest? a bad landing?
But how spongey is his floor?
All floors at EFC are max spongey. All gravity at EFC is zero.
That’s why our guys develop so quickly and never get injured
You can make a judgment call though, which could turn out to be, right or wrong.
It was a bad landing in a marking contest.
I think Zerk kicked it to his lead, it was a little short, 2MP dove a bit, took the mark but rolled over on the shoulder.
It didn’t look like much.
