Jones’ marking last night on the wing (in the wet mind you) is how a 200cm wingman should dominate in the air.
Cox does none of that, so what’s the point playing him wing if he’s not making the most of his height advantage?

Maybe the coaches are looking at Jones on the wing. That aside, Cox has improved vastly this year and it will be interesting to see where he fits and how he looks in 24 months.

I know we have so many forwards killing it at the moment, but…
maybe we can try this “can play anyway” player forward pretty damn soon…

If he remains in the side should become our second ruck and let Wright stay at full forward. Help Caddy play on the third defender.
He played all over the ground tonight, including the ruck. Gets better every game.

Happy with how he’s ticking along. Stays in for the year if fit.
Yeah, surprised me in the ruck. Won most contests. I liked his game overall - handy player when they can at least hold their own (and win) in a wide variety of positions.
Also good awareness to notice the Collingwood player was too busy talking to the umpire and kicked a nice pass into the forward line.
Agree I’d like to see him take more clunks. Jones has shown how much of a weapon that can be on the wings.

after a shaky start he’s on his way.
Cox in ruck allowed us to keep structure ahead of the ball and with Jones playing well on wing. I think he is a better second ruck option than Wright, as his follow up is like a midfielder.
