#13 Nik Cox - thru 2026 (Part 1)

I thought Cox looked really dangerous a couple of times when he played forward last year. There was one game he kicked 3 and was our most dangerous forward.

No way is Gresham a lock. For much of 2024 he looked like he was just trying to avoid the slippery slope!

Well we need small forwards and he’s more of a lock than Guelfi/Menzie/Davey

Greshams’ first half of the year was decent then fell away like the rest of the team

Two games w/ 3.

Led our goal assists for the year seventh for score involvements which is pretty good considering most are midfielders in that category and also kicked 19 goals the second most of a small forward in the last three years behind Menzie last year at 23 goals.
He is definitely a lock.

Personally I’ve never felt like cox weight prevented him from cementing a spot and playing well. He needs to be plonked in a set position though, and I don’t think we have a clear plan for him.

He looks skinny, but it also looks right. If Cox’s unique factor is his agility and running ability for his height. Make him huge and he’s just another two metre player.

I don’t expect him to bulk up and look like Charlie Dixon, but I had hoped he’d come back looking less like Liz Ellis.

Hope his trade value doesn’t drop in 2025.

I still recall driving to the epworth to have knee surgery a few years back and Cane Corn was basically predicting Cox would be the greatest player of all time. That call was as bad as his faccia di brutto

What trade value?

Probably in the 22 to 28 range if we’re lucky.
