#13 Nik Cox - thru 2026 (Part 1)

I don’t think I fully appreciated the both feet comments until I watched that.

Genuinely beautiful kick and no preferred side.

I think we need to protect him a bit, don’t put the weight on too quick and play him outside on the wing to start. When the size comes in a few year she can be more contested. He is apparently pretty brave too, so will back into packs, hopefully no too bad the big AFL bodies break him.

At around the 2.40 mark he kicks a goal on his right. The very next vision is him kicking from about 5 metres further back and 5 metres closer to the boundary. He kicks that one on his left.

Taking the ■■■■.

Had concerns he was nqr, now realising he’s nqr in a great way. What an unusual cat. Freakish ability by foot and can run. Might be the player that Sheeds was hoping Bradley would become.

He’s tall and athletic.

Getting in before @Scotty21.

He looks a serious prospect.

Not lacking confidence too which our team needs.

I think worse case with him is Mark Bolton. Best case is maybe Goodes?

Judging from the highlights.

I think next year you’ll want him playing a half back flank, and keeping him away from aerial contests.

Unlike Ridley, Cox has the ability to take the game on, and then follow up. He Likes to take risks with his kicking. Ridley tends to be too safe with his disposal IMO.

I think he’s a really good option as a half back flank with Hind.

Geez, what’s happened to Francis, Redman, Ridley this year?

I’m so proud that we’ve selected a talent with incredible kicking skills. My eldest son is 8 and we’ve been working on disposing the ball on both sides of his body since he was 3 and it’s become natural to him.

Get him some long sleeves and he could be the next silky Jason Laycox mkII.

We’re gonna love watching that Big Cox swinging from end to end

Can someone tell me at the end of those highlights it looks like he takes on Phillips and beats him for pace then he does it to who looks like perkins

If he can’t handle the inside I’d be playing him off half back or on a wing. If he can play inside he’s going to be that next Bont/Fyfe type.
I wouldn’t play him as a key position until he’s 25 and if it’s necessary.

His kicking and athleticism are amazing. Hopefully he puts it all together, could be anything.

Don’t wish that on him - or us!

Nah. That’s from the game against the NZ Falcons last year.

Kobe Mutch could.

Except Kobe’s kicks were all 25 to 40 metre floaters.
No difference either foot true, but never saw him spear a low pass, or roost it 50 metres plus.
