#13 - Nik Cox - thru 2026 (Part 2)

It will make the VFL more interesting this week, additions of Clark, Guelfi and Cox. Hopefully that = a win.

Play him in the ruck in VFL.

Then he can takeover Nick Bryan’s role in the 22 for the remainder of the season.

Wasn’t running giving him a headache?

Not sure. Probably could of sat on a weight machine and done something though

Compulsory viewing. Go Nik!

Good to see him back

I am genuinely surprised he is I think anyone who has the head knocks then sits a period of time out with lingering symptoms seem to be long odds to get back.

Interested mostly where he plays….i think he can only make it as a forward.

…so, the opposite of just about every piece of medical advice. Yeah, that would be a good move.

Honestly mate get over it. He was a praying mantis when he was in his first year but he’s put on ā€œenoughā€ size. It’s not his game to be a hulk, it would negate half of his strengths.

Let’s just hope he finds some touch in the 2s.

He has barely put on any size since he was drafted.

You need at least some size to give you confidence to attack the ball, stick a tackle, hold a mark under physical pressure

Nik Cox is back in the Zach Reid Category before the start of this year.

Heading towards delisting if can’t get a good run at it, despite the talent.
He just needs to get his body right and get a consistent run of games at VFL or AFL level.

Its actually pretty significant step getting through this weeks VFL match.

That’s what I’m hoping for. Cox is actually a talented footballer, who reads the play and has a creative element to his game. Would be a big improvement

Total bullshit. Watch that video and then compare to what he even looked like last year.

At Essendon I agree. What I’m wondering is if we just try him through midfield and ruck and see if he can do it

Whether he gets he makes it quality wise or not, feel he’s wing or bust for us. Cant see where else we would play him

Yeah it’s difficult. Maybe what Essendon get out of this is experience and knowledge about body types and positions on the field

I watched the video, and saw the pictures posted above. Very little difference in the past 4 years

He looks like he has put on the natural amount of size someone from 18-24 would.
Doesnt look like he has worked all that hard in the gym.

Dont really think it matters anyway, he isnt good enough to play imo.

Fair call, don’t disagree with any of that
