#13 Nik Cox - thru 2026

Missed him on the wing tonight.

Another soft tissue.

As Iā€™ve said all year thank duck weā€™ve been lucky with barely impact injuries.

Soft tissue you can control to a degree and there ainā€™t much control going on

Fumbles and canā€™t hit a target by foot or hand in the dry. In dewy conditions, reckon his hammy prevented us from watching an all time Clanger game tonight. Donā€™t like any injuries but I was genuinely relieved when he was subbed out early.

Donā€™t they normally strap the hammy with ice? I just thought that was strange.

Will be interesting if thatā€™s the only injury.

He was looking lively and involved early too, a real shame.

5 quick touches, and seemed to be involved in every contest.

3 just in these past 2 weeks ā€¦ DP3, Hobbsy and now Cox.
Caldwell and Duz probably playing sore also. Goldy is certainly. Wonā€™t want too many more thatā€™s for sureā€¦

Its why we need to steadily keep bringing in the depth and draftees into the 23. Tsatas this week, Bryza next week. Caddy debuted and would keep him going in there too. Reid building steadily back in the VFL if we go a defender down. I want to give Roberts a look soon even as sub.

No idea what gives with Shiel right now sadly.

Weird take, Nik has been building nicely this year and was earning his spot on merit. Prior to getting injured in last nights game he was fine, had a couple of nice handballs and picked up 5 disposals.

He grabbed high when he did it, Iā€™m going 6-8 weeks.

Only hamstring awareness. So he should be listed 1-2 weeks for the next 8 weeks.

Where do people see this guy in 5 years? What position?

its funny they say hamstring awarenessā€¦then Scott said at quarter time he was doing ruin throughs at speed. But he said get him off and get Tsatas on.
Will get scan during the week.

Then look at footage and definitely looks like he did something.
Iā€™m thinking 3 weeks standard hammy, back after the bye.

At another club

Assuming heā€™s fit and not Kepler Bradley, I think he probably ends up a bit like Justin Westhoff. Depending on what our depth and strengths look like at any given point, or the opponent, some time up forward, patches in the ruck, half a season down back, some time on the wing, whatever works. I mean, the dream is he becomes some new type of 200cm wingman that every other team in the league spends years trying to find one of, but more realistically tall utility seems most likely to me.

Probably wing still. I like the idea of a tall marking target who can play between the arcs. He isnā€™t brilliant overhead but he is still probably better than average due to his height alone.

Thinking of a taller and far less capable Ryan OKeeffe type. Different skill set but probably playing that role between the arcs.

Yes we can, we had 2 people go down.

Heā€™s horrible

Heā€™s certainly prone to the odd clanger, but he does some nice things each week that make you think thereā€™s a player there. I think heā€™s tracking ok given how much footy heā€™s missed, but I guess we see it differently.

Wing, pinch hitting in the ruck

Could pitch hit anywhere. A Swiss knife in the making. I rate highly
