Is he “HOW MANY GOAL”?
that was fonz101 my man.
But, Mitch, the article says…
Both the Power and Crows are aware of Fantasia’s wish, but the Norwood product’s longstanding relationship with Nathan Bassett has Port Adelaide in the box seat if Essendon agrees to trade him in 2019.
To me, that implies, Mitch, that he has asked for a trade this year.
No one!
I don’t doubt he will head home one day but hopefully when he is all but finished.
I think the article is pure speculation. However what hits home is that with free agency 3 year contracts become 2 because clubs have to think of the worst case scenario half way through the second year. So I’d imagine we will know more when we offer Raz a contract extension half way through next year ? Reporters can regurgitate this same type of article about any player with a year and a half to run on there contract. They just jumped the gun on Raz by a year.
Gotta give up something to get something
Do the best deal if true

Sorry mate but it’s you that’s being naive here. This is how the AFL does business. It’s not just a coincidence that this story, with seemingly no new information or anything verified from anyone, broke a few minutes after a bigger story broke about a player taking time off to deal with mental health (that everyone knows is related to gambling).
It’s not a conspiracy. It’s media management 101. I know quite a few journos and have spoken to them today - every one agrees.
I would have thought all posters on this board would be alive to these tactics after the Saga, but apparently not.
That’s a little different to what you were stating in your post.
You posted the intention of the Orazio article was to bury the Beams story lower down the list. If that was the purpose, then they wouldn’t have updated it to lift it back up above the Orazio story.
Sorry dude. You went a tad too far with the staged media management side of things.
As far as what you are saying about the timing of the Orazio information release, you are probably 50% right.
I think afl.com just want the clicks that the newspapers get so that their ads and sponsors are appeased.
They regularly follow suit with what others are reporting so that they don’t feel left T out of the click bait rush.
AFL journos still get paid as communications specialists right? Not journalists?
They don’t practice journalism. Ever. They run the stories that their bosses let them run.
Afl journos have the same performance requirements that newspaper journos have.
The more clicks (and bullshit tweet repeats and re-tweats) you get, the better rewards you get.
It’s that simple.
I also got one of those afl app updates “EXCLUSIVE: Orazio Fantasia to seek SA Trade”. Wish i took a screenshot
About an hour before they had the author on SEN, SEN led with “Orazio Fantasia has requested a trade back to Adelaide”
Adelaide had nice restaurants, very good beaches and great strip joints.
The problem is the people are dead ordinary and boring, except those who escape to Melbourne.
Name 5 famous South Aussies who live there.
Fitzy?

These journos are nothing but bottom feeders. (Pretty sure Sam Newman called them this - can not disagree!) They make up bullshit and are rarely made accountable for any of it.
