His hip is absolutely farked and only surgery can fix it. He will be playing in agony tonight and his movements will be severely restricted. Will take a stack of will power on his behalf to have a serious effect tonight

I had a chat to one of the VFL listed players this week. He said the same thing, hip is ■■■■■■, can barely train. I feel for the kid because now, like Joey last year, he’s playing when he shouldn’t be, not surprisingly not performing at his usual level and getting criticised. We all know what a top player he is when he’s up and going…

The only thing I suppose is that the injury can’t get any worse so I guess they will try to get him through. Only surgery can fix it and no amount of rest can make it better
How long is the recovery after surgery? And likelihood of returning to his best after that?
It’s a good move by Port, if Wines links up with his buddy Viney then Port will be very reliant on Boak and Rockliff in the engine room and SPP is caca.
