The Hobbs comparison seems wide of the mark after watching a few vids more closely. E.g. he has excellent vision & v good disposal, both handballs in tight and kicks into the fwd 50. A player who is quick of mind and brings others into the play. Jobe-like but with better skills. Can mark & kick a goal too. Real happy we got him.

Looks better than Hobbs in every way. And I liked Hobbs. Hobbs a bit more kamikaze in his attack, which was no use to us anyway since he got about 4 free kicks in his entire career (no I wonât stop mentioning that).

I thi k the Hobbs comparisons are way off the mark. The biggest difference being decision making and speed thereof. Sharp looks to have amazingly fast decision making in tough situations. Hobbs had the pace of a stoned turtle when faced with a decision to make

The risk we took in that instance was Adelaide making the same offer to Melb, which presumably they did, and Melb taking it (particularly once we took their man Farrow off the board). Must have been reasonably confident that Melb would take their picks to the draft.
Dees wanted a defender so even though Farrow seemed to be their priority they would have been stoked to get Taylor. Their second pick was always between Nairn and Pickett and obviously Kozzie got his way

I actually think Cumming & Grlj are a good duo for them, Taylor would have been good for them also though but couldnât have all of them.
