He reads it so well and knows when to play in front and take the mark. He was everywhere today and probably bog imo. Not just saved his career this year, he looks like a genuine prospect.

Heβs a contested mark beast, and i love that he just tries to beat his opponent and outmark him, and succeeds quite often, doesnβt need to go the spoil
You would hate to play on him as a forward, because he is always trying to beat you to the ball and the mark and you have to compete with him
Whoever is teaching him backline skills to play to his strengths is a deadset genius
How did we waste 5 odd years thinking this guy was a mid or forward.

Should be the first thing we check when our recruiters say someone can play as an inside mid, especially if theyβre over 6ft.

Love Lav - keep taking front position and read the ball in flight and use that ridiculous bravery and courage to split packs and make forwards hurt. We have a more physical defence along with Redman, Hind, Guelfi and Francis when he has his mindset right.
Essendon backlines of the past have had steal and this one Is developing nicely.
Just stop kicking the 5 min drop kick when he can roost it 50/60meters

Thatβs not bagging Ridley, but lav is the first player picked in our backline for mine

Lol Ridley was literally in everyoneβs AA team before his missed game last week. And was quiet by his standards without being poor this week.
