I meant the gets love part

Still brave.

Shows how little these commentators actually watch the game. Given Laverde pretty much every second contest tunnels his opponent, the free to Cadman was no accident.

Just another brave contest.

I do feel sorry for him. Has been used as a stopgap measure for too long. Has been forced to play opponents that he shouldn’t.

Just hasn’t got it. Delist with dignity.

His first quarter :grimacing:

Will get a week for tunnelling

He was screaming at Ridley right in front of me in the last quarter because Rids didn’t kick backwards to him, he’s tough as nails is Lav but stick to Fortnite mate, you can’t AFL.

If so the game is done.

He seemed to get lost and turned around in a marking contest. Didn’t help they showed it a half dozen times and commentators said he should be suspended.

But when Duz had his arms pinned, without the ball and head buried into the turf, requiring him to leave the field. They were at pains to avoid stating the obvious.

Anyone got stats on how many goals have been kicked on him? I genuinely think it’s not as many as people think, in arguably the hardest 7 weeks of football we have endured in forever.

He 100% to me is a senior player that stays on the list mainly vfl but as backup as you can’t just get rid of everyone.
Our only two other senior defender barely stays on the park more than 10 games a year

It’s hilarious Lav is now considered durable.

Turned on SEN this morning and suddenly Lav tunnelling is the biggest story? It’s the worst thing to happen on a football field since Durham’■■■■■, which was the worst thing that has ever happened on a football field.

They kept highlighting it last night on the coverage too.

Did the same to Blakiston in the third qtr? I think. Blakiston was between wing and half back, and Lav was screaming at him to kick back. If Lav was a penetrating lethal kick then not a problem but he’s not the safest bet with ball in hand. I get the whole idea to switch too, but we’re not great at that either. Obviously that’s the instruction or direction from the coaches but, Lav shouldn’t be the guy who’s job it is to redistribute the ball.

Please, can 2025 be his last season.

Oh no just wait for the β€œhe’s one of the few that try” and β€œhe is solid depth” comments to come.

Truth is in almost all contests he is giving away free kicks, and when he has the ball he is a liability. Infact opponents seem to leave he free on a flank as much as possible hoping he gets the ball.

Says a lot when a 26 year old journeyman ruckman is picked in the mid season draft and is plonked in defence and shows you up.

Unbelievable that he along with his mate and captain had grievances and face to face meetings with the coach to ask why he isn’t getting an extension to his contact at the end of last year.

DELIST - and block his and his agents number.

I mean he isnt going to be there next year, but to rage at someone playing a FB role which is not what he is against giants week in week out isnt it.

The fact he does give his all every contest is something in the β– β– β– β–  team. And ill admire him for that, even if hes not up to it and also thank him for each week taking on the biggest task for the last 4 years.

In a better side he would be very capable as a 2nd or 3rd string defender

That was his worst game ever and that’s saying something

Key defenders usually play well in 90 point losses.

Especially 5th-string key defenders.

He may need to get another year in case we have 600 injuries again.
