Has he had games in the midfield at junior levels where he has had 30+ touches? Or is he a low number high impact type?
What everyone else has said. His numbers for his TAC Cup games are (goals): 15 (6), 11 (3), 12 (2), 19, 19 (1), 18 (2), 22, 17, 20 (4), 19, 16, 17, 20 (1), 13 (2).
That doesn’t agree with the article on the first page which said he scored 16 goals in the first 4 games.
I dunno, that’s what the TAC Cup site says. Maybe the article is including the goals he kicked for his local team at the start of the year? Maybe the stats site is wrong? Both are possible.
Saw him at training today, we got one here I think.
He is looking really fit now, and has that size where, with intent, could really hurt the opposition-literally!!
Asked a bloke who basically goes to most training sessions, and he said Begley is the one most likely out of the draftees.
Guess NAB cup will sortvthat out, can’t wait!!
Agree you’ve pretty much nailed what I posted earlier. If he gets fit I reckon he will be played in the seniors fairly early. He looks sharp there’s no puppy fat on this boy and if his kicking style replicates his play in any way he’ll be a beauty.
Hope I haven’t mozzed him , I recall. Daniel McAlister had a nice kicking style too only problem was he couldn’t find the ball.
Know it has been mentioned before but I find it very amusing that on draft night and the subsequent couple of days he was considered to be the biggest ‘mistake’ of the EFC draft… now he is being talked up as he second coming

Thats how BLITZ works. Wait untill the match day thread…

Considering no one knew who he was, its understandable that they would be concerned.

Don’t assume it’s changed. People will be quick to jump back to the first position in one quarter of VFL and claim they never thought otherwise. It’s like Blitz’s own version of quantum superposition where all things are simultaneously possible at one time. Quantum Blitzerposition.

Lol, no its not. Because he wasn't high on some phantom draft we should immediately question actual recruiters (who have a pretty good record recently)? The whinging about McG vs McC was more validv than Begley worries.

If you read the initial reactions in the draft thread you’ll find anyone taken after McGrath was a mistake.
