#16 “OMG it’s Archie” Perkins (Part 2)

That was diplomatic way of saying…

“ we didn’t trust that Jake’s body would hold up for the 2 years that he was asking for, and further, we generally want to get younger across the list “

Possibly, but I’d never question Brad’s love for Archie Perkins

No they didn’t. Blitzers are just hopeful that there’s a reason for him being so ordinary. The other one was that he’d bulked up too much. Which is also clutching at straws.

Pretty sure that he was dropped last year despite the injury crisis

Best one was mosquito getting fat while recovering from his ACL because it actually was meant to aid in his recovery somehow.

That was from your man JOHN “Bacchus” SETKA

It’s not confidence, its all down to effort or lack of it in his case

In a way, i don’t blame him. He has been played almost every week when he has lacked effort and squibbed multiple contests. Why should he change when he gets rewarded for it

Since he got drafted, has he ever had to actually fight and claw to get into the team or keep his spot in the team?

for what, 1 game? then brought straight back in?

Until he is made to actually earn his games- the same thing will keep happening

My ACLs should be tip top if that theory is sound.

We’re a chance today because Perkins might get 20+ and kick 3 for his annual game a year.

But, how does he back it up? Does he want this? Sometimes you forget he’s a top 10 pick.

He’s a pretty limited footballer and doesn’t play like he can or wants to change a game. I don’t really buy the “good mark for his height” crap. There’s ten other traits I want to see shine before that. Otherwise, we’d just play 6 tall forwards if we’re not already.

Lets give our best cheers for Perkins.

The thing with Perkins is he’s had multiple seasons where if he’d just pull the finger out defensively, they were very good. But he’s failed repeatedly in the midfield, and really struggled last year. Which may have been injury effected.

I agree it seems bizarre to be writing him off already.

Here is a thought… I mean, just maybe… he isn’t a ■■■■■■■ midfielder!!!

Which is fine but if you’re a forward and you’re not a key position player and yet you are poor at applying defensive pressure… then you’ve got a pretty bl00dy special to earn your keep. Let’s hope we see the new and improved Archie Perkins this year hey.

He ain’t a half forward/forward either, let alone an AFL standard player

Enough now. The experiment is over.

I thought he would be player but after 2 nite, I think the game has moved past him. Just looks lost?

If you could put what is wrong and out of date with this club down to a player it’d be this guy.

Barring absolute freaks, modern footy dictates that your forwards are either:

  • Key forwards who regularly halve or win contests

OR

  • Electric small forwards

My God.

Last 3 kicks directly to whorethorn players.

A shining example of everything wrong with the club

Think I posted in another thread that this was just a Perkins game, regardless of a lack of pre season.

But he looks cooked. Twice now has had zero power in his kicks which I believe could be a real indicator of OP/stuffed groin.
