#16 “OMG it’s Archie” Perkins (Part 2)

Move to the leadership group

The reverse Sam Macclure “they won’t pick him”

Time to put the acid test on.

Put him in the midfield in the VFL.

Tell him he has 3 weeks there.

Tell him If by the third week he is not dominating VFL games with 30+ disposals and 10+ tackles then his AFL opprtunities are gone.

It’s up to him to respond.

Agree on all points. The Weed was the blueprint and was the worst failure l have seen at Essendon in almost 70 years of following the club. Scott seems intent on using that blueprint again.

Ironically, he gets his wish to remain in Melbourne.

Possibility he’s played his last AFL game?

Definitely his last game at Essendon. I could see a Geelong having a look at him to see if they can get some of his potential.

If he can build his confidence up and start to actually impact VFL games he’ll be given another chance. Currently low touches but also low impact, uber low confidence by the looks

Will be interesting to see if he goes and tries to dominate and fight for his spot or goes into his shell.

Really at nothing to loose stage.

I’ve always thought he’s a poorer version of Ollie Henry, even in their draft years. Henry isn’t even that good but he has forward craft which Perkins doesn’t really have, so Geelong already has a better version.

Ollie Henry is utter shithouse! He’s just playing in a far better side!

He’ll be back in May after playing ok at VFL level

It insane to think he has played more than 100 games, he has somehow avoided injury, Brad’s ire and the development team.

I feel if Archie had have ended up in a club like Geelong who are known for their development he’d have played 50 games and been twice the player for it.

He’s a better player than Perkins, but that isn’t hard.

yep, if he gets selected back into the seniors just what his form was leading up to it?

Let’s see if he’s got that hunger and attitude, over a stretch of games, to dominate at VFL level.

Hopefully never selected again

He’ll be back in very soon

Let’s hope so!

we’ve said it before, but hopefully the making of perkins. There is not many players I want to be kicking into our forward line. Its a shame he only does it 2 times a game.

the ball is in his court now to knuckle down, get some form in the twos. make or break time. and unfortunately, precedent is not on his side

If you think it’ll click after 100+ games, it wont
