It’d be an odd move for a coach to call someone out for standards at the end of a season, but at the same time play them for all 23 games in said season, wouldn’t it?
Nothing wrong with saying they expect more from a player that’s decent.
Not saying they’re even in the same league but Petracca was a good player for the Dees, and then he twigged onto the importance of the AFL lifestyle and lifted his game even further.
He’s got to be developed for another 3-4 years as a mid before we can determine he’s not a mid and play him forward.
Some people just need a serious kick in the Niagaras, and that includes our fans who’ve taken it as gospel.
Okay time to mute this thread!
This thread is now a disgrace. How ■■■■■■■ entitled and shallow have we become as a collective when we slag off and denigrate a supposed " one of our own" based on an equally putrid and rancidly pathetic anonymous rumour elsewhere.
There are real people, in the real world, who suffer for the bullshit we think we’re entitled to voice under the happy security of our own anonymity. Literal rumour isn’t a green light to start tearing into real people, and nor is “if true” a satisfactory and exculpating mitigator.
Grow the ■■■■ up, stop arbitrarily judging real people from your imaginary online ■■■■■■■ ivory tower and maybe just try to recall that you don’t know who does or doesn’t read this ■■■■. Disgusting. But of course, the mental health thread is the most important one we run, right? Ffs.
I think @Bacchusfox mentioned he may have been carrying an injury? If so, does he require surgery? He did seem to lack a bit of zip in the last games.
Brad Scott said no one on the list needs surgery at his last press conference
Excluding Stringer I’d assume cause he already was operated on the week of the Pies game
Pretty decent overall health then for hopefully a big pre season!
Every thread is fooked at the moment.
The amount of people taking Twitter and Big Footy trolls as gospel is ridiculous.
I know it’s trade season and the thing that drives it is rumour and speculation, but some of the pumping of this stuff is like tabloid press. Unfortunately many are gullible and take it as read, meaning it becomes almost fact. It’s gutter stuff in the main.
Spot on.
It’s like conspiracy theory stuff.
a clown posts some ridiculous theory about gravity being a hoax, people give the conspiracy oxygen, and now the nutter is getting encouraged to keep going with even more crazier trash…. Because people are giving him attention.
And now they have a following.
Yep, and there are quite a few on this forum who are in serious need of a holiday, bit of sun. Melbourne winter, traffic and footy team shithousery are driving some Kookoo.
haven’t been in Archie’s thread for a bit, seems that was a good thing
This weekend was beautiful weather and sun wise
I think some people sauces may be a little off….
