#16 “OMG it’s Archie” Perkins

With the way Melbourne are playing I wouldn’t like to play against him.

Not for dominating the game - but for actions like that.

That’s farkin bushleague crap

Seems to take care to ensure he drives his elbow in Seh too

I think that was a positive game from Archie. I wonder if he’s getting too big? Seems to be a bit less rubbery/untackleable as his first year.

Nice that he got one goal for his confidence.

With Steven May breathing down his neck that’s a ripper

His attack on the footy was great! Archie is one of the few players in our group that is really damaging with ball in hand. He starts every week for me.

So, May tried to flip him on his head! Similar to pushing an oppo player into the ground or a pack. Key defenders do it regularly. Ask Crisso. Nothing to see there, but report the victim of a sling tackle sure. No problem.

Archie filled the Langford lead up /Hybrid role and did well. Complimented Caddy and Kako, even though it didn’t always come off I like the idea of the three, playing close to goal square.

I like the idea that Langford plays the link role higher up the field when he returns puts further pressure on Jones position in team.

I thought he was ok

He certainly didn’t dominate or anything like that, but I liked his game. He contributed well.

The guy has plenty of ability, in my view. We’ve just gotta find a better way to get him performing in line with what he’s capable of on a more consistent basis…

I watched the replay after being there Sat nite and he really did a number of nice things. If he had not had the mark disallowed and kicked the goal that would have been 2 goals and that would have been more than just a serviceable game in the forward half.

Like most here I think we are a little frustrated because he has shown he could actually be an A grader if he consistently played to his potential like the two games against Hawthorn over the years.

It may still click like it finally did for Rayner but one thing Archie is excellent at is using the ball particularly in the forward half and we don’t have many players like that. I hope he does explode and becomes the consistent A grader but I don’t think he is the bust many says he is.

We wanted a European sports car when we selected Archie but have ended up with a more than serviceable Toyota that has been pretty reliable and you know what you will get.

Soft, costs us goals every week with his pathetic slow mo soft approach

He is exposed that bump show it

It really wasn’t. He had a nightmare bounce that put him out of position.

Just pick him as sub and bring him on at half time already

Yep, played his usual 5 minutes.

He is very laconic. Nuff said.

If he could be better when he doesn’t have the ball, I would be a lot more comfortable with him.

Clearly has game breaking offensive flair and has shown it a few times that he can turn a game in 10 minutes…

…but Sheesh he is so far off being a well rounded player.

Another cameo appearance, when we need more. Ended up turning thè game around with a minute of brilliance. Was forced to play FFon McGovern, when he is more of a flanker. Apart from the bullet pass from Sheil he wasn’t given much service. Has talent to burn, needs to find how best to apply that talent.
