#17 Todd Goldstein - don’t forget, he’s here forever

Straight back in next week for Caddy. No VFL required.

If you’d seen him play for NM over the last two or three seasons you’d know that the biggest on-field contribution he could have made for us this year was using his experience and expertise to help out the VFL guys. Apparently not.

I dunno, it seems kinda farcical to me that a guy who was clearly finished as an AFL player has seemingly been given a promise that he wouldn’t play VFL. I really, really, really ■■■■■■■ hate how Brad Scott has handled this situation.

As long as he is out.
I don’t mind him resting and not cutting into Bryan’s centre bounce VFL development.

Yeah I don’t see any benefit to him playing VFL, just taking time from Bryan/Vigo.

I guess it’d allow Bryan some forward time, but not sure a game or two will help too much there.

He’d no doubt be helping them far more at training during the week

Wonder if the plan is similar to Cox in his last year as player, part time ruck coach into full time after

Came to Essendon to teach our players how to be reliable and effective. Leaves having forgotten anything he knew when he got here.

We all know he’s playing this week against Darcy and Jackson

Accept it and save your outrage

Anything you want to tell us big fella?

Mustve found the fountain of youth and some blonde hair dye!

In any case I’m looking forward to him taking on a full time ruck coaching role - pretty sure that was part of his deal joining right? Could well give us an edge with our ruck stocks in Draper, Bryan and Vigo (does he ruck much these days…?)

He was very useful to us for half of the season, but now is the time to hang up the boots.

It’s Tuesday. Announce!!

Kind of weird he hasn’t announced any retirement yet. Makes me wonder if he is in fact going on next year…

Going by Brad’s press conference he will be at the club in either an on field or off field capacity.

Will come down to list spots but may be kept as 3rd in line ruck back up
