A possibility? Midtable Brad just can’t help himself. If Goldstein is on the list, Brad will play him. It’s as certain as Dolly Parton sleeping on her back. That temptation needs to be excised.

There is one guaranteed way that Goldstein doesn’t take games away from Bryan and Visentini in 2025: make sure he’s not on the list. It’s that simple.
I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if the round 1 team next year featured Goldstein and not Bryan. I daresay many others feel the same way.
Give Goldstein the option to retire, and if he doesn’t want to do that then he should be delisted. We don’t need him, his 2024 form in no way whatsoever justifies another year, and our club shouldn’t be used as a pre-retirement top-up option for Brad Scott’s mates.

If we need a ruck coach, get one. They don’t need a senior list spot.

IMO Bryan is already better than 2024 Goldie and we have several talls who can pinch hit.FCS, Geelong has not had a decent ruckman for years. Brad would be advised to chat with his Bro to get some tips on how to become a top 4 side with spare parts ruckmen.

I’m well and truly in the “Goldy should retire” camp but this is not even remotely accurate.
As a number 1 ruck doing it all day, you’d probably still go Goldy over Wright. You’d definitely pick him over Cox who is built like a twig and is at best a relief ruckman. Vigo has yet to play an AFL game. Saying Goldy is behind him is fanciful.
