#17 Todd Goldstein - don’t forget, he’s here forever

I noticed some on the week end from other players try it

So did I, and commentators didn’t mention it at all.

Them the breaks until we can draft one.

Not many clubs lose their best 2 rucks a week apart.

Not a great plan i don’t think, it will be hard enough with our backup ruckman.

And both of them for 12 months.

Well played thus far old fella

I thought he might play well given the rain

It’s amazing that a 50 yo bloke like Goldy can come into our team and be one of the best.

Well done old fella.

Good game. Hopefully he can keep it up for another couple of months.

Was good.

On ya Todd. Even as a coach and 84 years young, you still manage to show more endeavour that majority of our senior blokes.

Was good, but with a 6 day break to face North I reckon he will struggle to get up for next week.

I thought it was an indictment on the rest of the mids that he visually seemed to apply more pressure than everyone but zac and durham

There were contests where he seemingly was the only Essendon player who thought “the ball is not just going to stop dead, I should get to the back/front”.

A ruck, let alone a 36 year old ruck, was more aware than a bunch of blokes in their supposed primes.

Was fine today and more than held up his end of the bargain.

Hold your head up high Todd. You busted your arse and gave your all today. If only the likes of Redman, Gresham, Martin, Langford, McKay, Perkins, Jones and co did the same
