I know he got a lot of hitouts. But it looked like the Collingwood mids knew exactly where it was going. I haven’t looked at hitouts to advantage but Cameron looked like he owned Goldy

Cameron didn’t own him at all, our mids where average when we needed a clearance player we left him out to play vfl

So true there was time he was leading the chasing of players and following up on the ball when others where standing there ball watching

The bloke has managed his body to get him playing AFL at age 36 with a very minimal injury history.
I don’t think we need to worry about load managing him at all. Just tell him to be ready to play each week. He knows what to do.

. Classic ruckman … I thought he won the duals but not the clearances stat. And did what he could around the ground.

You know what? This is a bit “old man yells at cloud”, but I HATE the fact that the majority of our players don’t wear traditional football socks. Looks like they’ve got a black sports sock with a red hoop on there, and everyone aside from the rucks wears those socks. It seems as if it’s an AFL wide thing as opposed to being simply confined to our club, but bring back proper footy socks!

Better at clearances than at marking. Did he actually take a mark?
He’s never been a “marker” so to speak.
Similar to Dean Cox in that regard.

All things considered did pretty good. Looking forward to Vigo getting a chance. At least with Goldy playing like that we can pick and choose when to give Vigo a run.

We really need that mid season draft to get a ruck.
He got pansted last week and no one believed me.
In fairness to the guy, Xerri is a beast and is monstering all who get in his way this year. He’s the best ruckman in the league by a distance.
But yeah, I haven’t seen an Essendon ruck get this dominated since that time Shaun McKernan got monstered by, who was it again? Oh yeah…

Goldstein got absolutely dominated, for 4 straight qtrs. Didn’t feel like he tried much to change his approach either
Props to him for continuing to put in the effort.
But hes as cooked as they get.
100% we’re grabbing someone in the MSD. Hopefully Vigo gets a game at some point
