Not denying itās a risk. I donāt think we should overpay in either years or money but I still think heās worth trying to keep - maybe with triggers and marketing incentives. We canāt stop him leaving but I donāt understand why people are practically pushing him out the door.
I think weāve done that. Weāve offered a good deal based on the circumstances and now its up to Sam what he wants to do.

In their world we recruit players, develop them and then trade them for draft picks. Rinse and repeat. We would be in a perpetual cycle of recruiting, developing and giving away our best players to make other teams stronger.
