3rd and 4th even

Bryan and Visentini
Plus a selection of talls who could pinch hit if needed

He absolutely dominated Anzac Day a few years ago.

He has definitely had games where he has dominated, his biggest issue is his consistency

Big blow

In Goldy we trust

This is also Bryans time to cement himself as a ruckman.

Been around long enough now, take this opportunity

I think he’s produced more than you’re giving him credit for.

Not sure if you mean 2022 or 2023.
2022 he didn’t receive a single coaches vote. He didn’t in 2023 either (and was matched against Billy ■■■■■■■ Frampton).

He’s definitely had dominant periods in matches, and I rate him higher than WOB does. But I’m also struggling to recall games he actually dominated.

Cool.
Draper Brownlow votes: 5
Langford: 3

It’s not really relevant whether you can remember them.

I wish you guys would hurry up and make my mind up for me. I’m not sure whether to run a campaign as:

Contented sighing
Over Bryan.

Or:

Soaring libido
Over Vigo.

I urge you to actually look at the game Drapes got 3 votes for. He’s probably played about 15-20 better games than that.

Also not sure what you’re trying to get at with the Brownlow votes to begin with. It’s pretty obviously a midfielders medal, and Langfords lack of votes kinda demonstrates that.

This sounds sarcastic, but given we’ve been winning without him and our VFL ruck is killing it, isn’t it true?

Your point?

I don’t understand what’s so difficult to understand about Draper being a dynamic player.

He’s not a slogger.
He will never Be a consistent 15+ possession per game reliable player.

ffs, Stringer can have ten possessions per game, eight of which are complete dogshit and two are gold and we’re fine with that.
At this point of his career.

Draper does that, AND dominates clearances like no-one else on our list and everyone wants him to be something he’s not.

He’s still improving.
He’s important.

On this, I just came across something that is pretty outrageous. Doug Wade in 1971 kicked 93 goals in 19 games and his vote tally for the year was 3 :man_facepalming:

Also. Dale Morris - 1 vote in his entire career. 249 games. All-Australian, Premiership CHB.

Yeah. Brownlow voting is a pretty rubbish measure.
I put a hell of alot more value into coaches votes (Obvously weren’t a thing back in 71 though :D).

Half of us are convinced the umpires are blind anyway.

Do you remember which year. Wouldn’t mind going back and watching it, because I cannot remember seeing him play one game ever where he would be top half dozen on the ground.

Did he win the Anzac Day medal?

This is sad and it sucks. Love watching him play.

He’s very important.

I dont think he’s ever been in the top half (say 9) ruckman in the game at any stage of his career. Nowhere close

He’s not even our #1 ruckman since goldy came along

Thats not exactly a great CV

I reckon it was 2022. He was one of our best players on that day

He probably was for 2022. Partly due to playing 22 games when others struggled to stay on the park.

How many rucks are top 9 in the comp until their mid20s? Given Drapers injuries since hitting that age it’s not exactly unexpected. He turned 24 between the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
