Let’s not get carried away. He was picked super late in the draft for a reason. He showed a few things late in the season for Sandy last year but was super raw and had games that he looked nowhere near it. He’s looked promising in the VFL and his contested marking is much improved.
But he’s a long way from AFL standard, and rucks take a long time. His brother Dante at Port is only just starting to play after three seasons, and only because of injury.
The point of my post was that its way too early to be saying things like “star written all over him” and “Vigo is our future”. He’s at step one of a long process. You were hyping him up well beyond reason I think. Apologies if it wasnt your intent, but blitz tends to overhype kids, set unrealistic expectations, and then get angry when they fail to live up to them.
Sorry, I dont mean to be a downer. He’s big, he’s an athlete, he competes and he can take a contested mark. So there’s plenty there to work with, lets hope he stays on track and the essendon injury bug stays clear.
He may be the next in line soon enough someone on Facebook said on the mid week tackle that Bryan is looking to leave.
(Don’t take it as gospel if it’s one Facebook and from Jon Ralph)
That’s who it was…Jon Ralph the Messiah! Jay Clark and Lauren Wood questioned it so I think it’s Jon Ralph speculating on possibilities rather than certainties; which is how he works most of the time.
It is disciplinary. But a 1 week injury would have been too obvious as cover. So they have to fake the knee injury and make it 6 weeks, which is more believable.
All of Blitz is Truman in this knee surgery scene, waiting to see if it’s a real surgery.
Are you sure you’re not referring to the return game against the Pies in '22? He was terrific all game, particularly the 3rd. Then went missing in the last, along with the rest of the team.
To me it seems an obvious move for Bryan to seek a trade especially if there is talk of Goldstein going around for another season. That’s just the nature of the competition. Our club needs to identify if they think Bryan is worth prioritising over Goldstein, if not try and use that trade for a small forward or a running HBF. When good players are leaving for more opportunities you know you’re going alright. The trick is letting the right ones go.
