A bit like Clark Keating you think?

Sammy Draper is a legend. Hoping the time off allows his hands to heal…the extensive strapping was a major drawback and required him to chest mark everything Hurley style.

Good rucks can play til they’re 35. Happy to keep Bryan and Draper around for another 10-15 years.

Those 2 together for a long time would be great.

“The madness of San Draper” that is a line!!

That would be the bloke who won a plenty of games off his own boot for us until injured…and was a kick away from a Norm Smith…yep, I’ll take it

More along the lines of could be anything but winds up being average.

It’s uncanny how they have so much in common.

Draper a chance to return next week against the blues.

Is he more important to our setup then most on here give him credit for.
Since he’s been out our midfield has been rather ordinary.

I should have said we haven’t had ascendency in the midfield since he has been injured

Draper and Goldy as a duo give us a difference.
They both are different kind of rucks and it helps that Draper can play forward.
So if one is having troubles with the opponents ruck, then we can try the other. Obviously the Port game is the outlier when neither made a difference.

I do think Parish being out of the centre bounces also means the opposition can sit on Merrett a bit more. He doesn’t get the clearances he does when Parish is there and we rely on Perk, Caldwell and Durham to get the clearance which is a ‘work in progress’ at the worst of times.

We really, really, really, really miss this guy.

Not sure the Blues would be the best to bring him back unless it’s in a dual ruck setup, TDK might trample all over him

Surely we don’t rush him and wait until after the bye.
