I love Drapes I think he is very good for us, but I’m glad the coach called him out. Re-enacting the dive and making fun of “getting away with one” was a new level of dumb for Drapes. The comments on Bevo equally stupid. You don’t smack talk about another team’s coach. He’s received a good kick up the backside - and so he should have

I like Draper. We missed him this week, and something about his happy go lucky personality allows him to bring fun and positivity to the group. Who doesn’t love the way he belts out the team song and gets around a first gamer.
But when I see guys like Durham, Merrett, Caldwell, Jones busting a gut and cracking in to the point of exhaustion with repeat efforts to get us a 3-4 goal gap in Adelaide and then see Draper smile/laugh after hes given away 50 meters which leads to an Adelaide run of goals. As a teamate id be ■■■■■■ off.
Likewise his teamates were interviewed and said they didnt know what the hell he was thinking when he lay on the ball and almost lost us the match. Then again the guy thinks it’s funny.
This kind of crap when we players have done extra training to be professional and Merrett is doing everything to lift standards and tackle and reverse games when they start to slip away.
I expect Draper to front up at play like Caldwell etc do this week. Get us the win, sing the song and then go and have a beer and podcast for all I care

People are conflating general issues with Drapers performance and brain fades with a public whack.
I absolutely hope Draper has copped a serve INTERNALLY - not for the Bevo thing but for Adelaide nonsense.
Externally whacking him only serves egos and irrelevant non football concerns. Scott pandered like an AFL mouthpiece worried about how much sleep jerkface Bevo was getting. The same Bevo who didn’t have the courage to talk to Stringer once Dogs decided to shop him around.

If Scott is having at whack at Draper in public, there is no doubt in my mind he has done it multiple times already in private and Draper hasn’t changed his ways.
Similar to making the whole “living an afl lifestyle” stuff public

Well if you have no doubts, that settles the issue then.
You know how some players have that offseason where they suddenly take it all more seriously, or they have kids and suddenly seem more mature in their actions…
I just wonder how good a footballer Draper is going to be when he reaches that stage of his life.
