Meek has been talked up all preseason and I thought Sammy made it look pretty easy.
He needs to stop going for the highlight play every time though and learn to feed his midfielders better

I liked his game, and he was absolutely ripped off with the spoil free.
He looks fit and runs both ways and I love that he throws himself around in the contest.
He has also improved his kicking a hell of a lot.
That was a nice set shot goal with a reasonable degree of difficulty.
Times past, you rate him 50/50to Kick a set shot 15m out dead in front.
If he can establish a better connection with the mids to get more from his rucking ability then we will have a massive weapon.
That can build across the season.
Sometimes I think it is as much about our mids than Sam.
In the middlle of a rucking contest, particularly centre bounce our mids need to read where the ball is most likely to go better than they are at the moment. Sam can only do so much.
The Dawks did better than us with a number of clean extractions leading to easy goals.
Nothing came easy for us.

I think people are suggesting to move him on because he is playing well and increasing his value.
Could get pick 2-3 as compo the way we are going.

The problem with that is we still have to bring in another ruck and it makes us objectively worse next year.

I think weāre gonna be pretty ordinary for the next few years regardless.
Iād be happy either way. No doubt he looks good this year, and his best footy is still ahead of him.
He is developing into a pretty handy threat up forward, which i did not see coming.

Can someone please explain why he refuses to attempt a contested mark with 2 hands? Iām still in two minds about his value. Ambivalent if he walks at years end. Will the club get compo picks?

No issue with him doing it. Never seen someone use the āshooshā finger over the mouth celebration towards his OWN fans though.
