I love that he knew he had a problem, he developed a strategy to mitigate the problem, the strategy was built around what he could do and was repeatable, and he has known when was not the right time to use it (wrong side, too far out).

I think if he kicked 40 for the year, you would take it in a heart beat. Hell id take 25 for the year from him as long as he was crashing packs.
Next bit is the smalls knowing where to position when he comes in to crash.

I started as a goalkeeper back in under 5’s and would usually come on and play up front and score a hat-trick in the second half ha ha… but from the age of about 13 I moved to CB (Centre Back) and continued to play there until I finished soccer. I saw myself as a Nemanja Vidic type…

This could of been a vote thing ,but I wanted to know why you thing yes or no.Personally yes for me.I still think we r so of the mark and I hope we r rebuilding.So if someone came knocking and we could get another first round pick for him,I’m all for it.Just wondering what people think

I have met, once, albeit briefly. He is fun loving, but serious or not l am convinced he is hell-bent on picking up the team and dragging the club upwards and onwards, out of the mire.

Getting down to training most weeks during summer, this guy was dominant.
Whether it was playing out of the goal square and clunking most things, or running through contest’s and winning clearances.
I’ve been a large critic of him in previous years. But that’s because he hadn’t knuckled down this hard previously, or played to this level.

Simon Madden always reckoned that a ruckman didn’t start to play well until he was 28 or so. Maybe Sammy is beginning to show this is true.
Madden also won a B&F at 19

I’d love the leeway of finding my feet in a career 10 years in. It’s just ridiculous to suggest a guy needs 10 seasons to be be any good in their role. Giving time to mature is one thing, but 10 years is crazy.
